Act 2
-
Town! BELOVED TOWN!
This act is when corruptors start getting pretty hard, Thorns proliferation, Heavenly armaments, slow immune Monty. If you’re inexperienced with max scoring, youre likely to come back here so take a bunch of save states. We are going to start scarab farming in this act, so add cards for the turn 2 contingency plan and inevitable incoming damage.
We also have a difficult event check in this act, you should consider adding extremely expensive cards to your decks to make this, and further events easier.
This act also has the DT-500 boss, which has been historically challenging for OTK comps. If you think you might struggle with that, consider planning for it. Shield Breaker can purge its block, or prismatic field can reduce incoming damage. Get creative with your solutions!
The highest score you can have at this point (Probably) is 41080. If you are a little bit off this, its ok, it’ll all get clamped away.
-
First corruptor fight of the act, and first scarab of the act. Good luck!
-
This should be a corruptor fight.
Scarab reminder.
-
Combat all the way down. As these are events, none of them will spawn scarabs. Both the Blazing Brothers and the Wolf Gang are worth the same XP, just pick whatever’s easier for your comp (Generally Blazing Brothers).
The Forge Skill check # is particularly high, if you don’t have many high costing cards, you will likely get 1 from Astarios as he is a boss and will give higher quality card rewards.
You level up here in between fights, hold the levels up for the Forge Entry Event if you can get away with it. -
Standard corruptor fight and Scarab kill. Last node before the event gauntlet.
-
If you brought Wilbur here, this will be a rest site, and you will want to [Forage] for gems. If you did not bring Wilbur, just take the free shards off his hands and move on. All Unique Character Interactions are the same, so just pick whatever.
-
Forge Entry and the first challenging event check of the run. We want to succeed [Open], crit is ok but not needed. If you brought Wilbur and are trying to do both nodes, this is a nightmare, and you will spend a while here.
[Enter] is ok to do if you want to do a timesave, the xp loss will not result in a score loss as long as we are doing Velka in act 2. Previously we couldn’t remove the wounds so this was not reccomended, but now its acceptable to just skip rerolling this event. -
Bottom path is more score so we will be going down here. This node is just a standard corruptor fight with a Scarab.
-
Go as far as you can, and get that green gem. We are saving it to show off to hanshek how much better we are than him.
-
Take whatever is worth the most XP.
Steel fishing rod: 12 XP and a lava blobNenukil: 12 XP and a fish
Grukli: 8 XP and a fishing rod
Normal Rod: 8 XP and a fish
If you didn’t bring a rod, thats fine as long as this is Act 2.
-
Heiner’s Unique Character Interaction is on par with [Open] if you want another copy of laser in your deck. All other choices remove enemies or skip the combat losing you score.
-
[Rest] succeeded for the most XP, better than every other unique interaction. Critical is not worth more XP, but does make the fight a little easier than normal success.
If you’re having trouble with this boss, consider running a block purge card, or prismatic field for AOE insulate. This guy has historically been quite challenging for OTK comps that don’t heal or block. You will want to sacrifice some armour to a blob in a moment, so if you don’t have something to give away, you should take some useless armour here.
-
Back into corruptor fights! Don’t forget to scarab.
-
Anything except [Leave] is correct here. You don’t even need to take the blob, just sacrifice some armour to it. If you absolutely cannot lose any armour, then rollback to the forge boss and grab something, itll be less time than succeeding the check.
-
Last corruptor fight of the act. Don’t forget your scarab.
-
Ignodoh is a pushover. He heals for the first time on turn 2 so have em down by then and it’s all good.
